About Me

I am a 20-something ecologist, environmentalist, and explorer. I received a Master’s degree from UC Berkeley in Integrative Biology last year and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, in 2015. I entered college expecting to attend medical school, but during my time there, I (re)discovered my love for ecology and continued my education at UC Berkeley following graduation. However, while earning my Master’s, I realized that I could no longer ignore my drive to be more involved in environmental advocacy—to truly “take a side” on ecological issues and speak for innocent living things that cannot. This site is not just about environmental issues though! Look out for musings and pictures about my life as I explore cities and towns across the U.S. as a nature-loving vegan.

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.
